I can’t control myself, but I think everyone here knows that by now. 

Chekov’s Beatles-wig is not just a joke. They really gave Koening that wig since Beatles was a pretty cool thing back then and so the makers of the series tought that women would like Chekov and therefore, more viewers for the show. Pfft just like he needs a wig to get women to like him
